Odds | Line |

Spread | Montreal −10.5 |
Moneyline | Montreal –550 / Ottawa +410 |
Total | 50.5 |
Montreal enters at 9–7 and locked up a playoff spot during its bye week. The Als now look to build momentum and fine-tune things in their final regular-season game. Ottawa enters this contest at 4–12. They have long been eliminated from playoff contention and are playing purely for pride and to evaluate roster pieces heading into the offseason.
Montreal also holds a clear edge in recent head-to-head play. The Alouettes beat Ottawa 30–10 in their last meeting in Week 19 and covered a large spread in doing so. They’ve dominated in this matchup for years and has covered the spread in most of their recent head-to-head games against Ottawa.
The Alouettes are on the road in this game but that hasn't stopped them from winning games this season. Montreal is 5-2 on the road going into Week 20 and they will look to get another road win against a Redblacks team that is 2-6 at home.
Montreal’s starter is Davis Alexander. He has been impressive in his starts this season. He went 23-of-30 for 240 yards and a touchdown without an interception the last time he played against Ottawa. He has missed a ton of time due to injury this year but has been good when healthy for the Alouettes.
The Redblacks’ quarterback situation is unsettled late in the regular season. Dru Brown is reportedly sidelined for the season. Dustin Crum is expected to start because of his absence. Crum has struggled to generate consistent offense in limited starts. The gap in quarterback play in this game should give the Alouettes a significant advantage here.
Score Projection: Montreal 28 – Ottawa 14
Win Probability: Montreal 75%, Ottawa 25%
The Alouettes should have no problem getting a win over a Redblacks team with nothing left to play for this season. But asking them to cover a double-digit point spread could be a tall task. Instead of laying all those points with the Als, my best bet for this game is the under. We should see Montreal take a big lead and run clock late to keep this one under the total.
