Ottawa Redblacks vs Montreal Alouettes Prediction - CFL Week 19

The Ottawa Redblacks (4–11) will travel to face the Montreal Alouettes (8–7) in Week 19 of the 2025 CFL season on Monday. Ottawa has already been eliminated from playoff contention and Montreal has already clinched a playoff spot. The Als will aim to build momentum down the stretch before the playoffs, while the Redblacks are trying to simply play out the string. Here, I break down this CFL Week 19 matchup and you can find my Redblacks vs Alouettes prediction below.
Spread | Moneyline | Total |
|---|---|---|
MTL –13.5 | MTL -800 / OTT +550 | 51.5 |
Montreal will go with Davis Alexander, who returned from a hamstring injury and in his last outing threw for 350 yards and a touchdown. He completed 26 of 36 attempts, with no interceptions in that game, as Montreal defeated Calgary 38–20.
It will be interesting to see how Crum handles this assignment for the Redblacks. He has an opportunity to prove himself in a game like this one, even if it doesn't mean anything in the CFL postseason race. A big game here could have an impact on Crum's chances of playing in future seasons.
Score Projection: Ottawa 19 – Montreal 34
Win Probability: Ottawa 18%, Montreal 82%
Montreal has the advantage in just about every area in this game. They have a huge motivational edge, they are better on defense, and they are still going with their starting quarterback at this point in the season. We should see the Alouettes win this game convincingly at home and I recommend laying the points with Montreal in this East Division matchup.
