The Montana State Bobcats and Stanford Cardinal will do battle in college basketball action on Wednesday night. Stanford has decimated their competition in the Big Sky conference through two games this year. They will try to beat another Big Sky opponent here and are heavily favored to do just that. The Cardinal have started 2-0 this season and guard Ebuka Okorie has been electric. He’s averaging 27.5 points per game, shooting 60.6% from the field ,and grabbing 5.5 rebounds per game. His emergence gives Stanford a clear offensive leader.
Montana State enters at 1-2 and has yet to defeat a Division I opponent this season. But the Bobcats did keep things close against Colorado out of the Big 12 and nearly won against the Denver Pioneers in their most recent game. They may be better than their record indicates and will attempt to prove that in this contest.
There is no question that Stanford has the stronger defensive pedigree, higher-end athletes, and will benefit from home-court advantage here. But Montana State’s metrics look impressive early and they will attempt to turn some heads in this contest.

Stanford should be able to continue their winning ways at home in this matchup against Montana State. Okorie's level of play will be especially interesting to watch in this game, as he has scored at will against two Big Sky opponents already this year. He should play well again in this game, but I'm going to take the points with a Montana State team that has been competitive despite not getting a win against Division I competition yet this year.
