KKR's batting looks capable of posting big scores. Ajinkya Rahane hit 67 and Angkrish Raghuvanshi 51 against MI, with Finn Allen contributing a fast-paced 37 at the top. Cameron Green's brief 10-ball cameo showed little before Shardul Thakur dismissed him cheaply, and the Rs 25.20 crore buy remains the biggest question mark in the lineup.
The bowling is where KKR are genuinely thin. Without Rana or Akash Deep, the pace options are Vaibhav Arora, Blessing Muzarabani, and Kartik Tyagi, none of whom inspired at Wankhede. Matheesha Pathirana is still awaiting his NOC and will not be available.
The hope rests with the spin duo. Narine was ineffective at Wankhede on a surface that did not suit him, but Eden Gardens is his fortress. Varun Chakravarthy took 17 wickets in 2025, and at a venue where spin historically crushes pace, this pair will be the difference-maker.
