The Los Angeles Dodgers will head to Canada for Game 6 of the 2025 World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night. The Blue Jays hold a 3-2 series lead and have the chance to clinch the championship at home on Halloween night. The Dodgers will be desperate to force a Game 7 to give themselves a chance to win a second straight title. Here, I break down what could be the final game of the 2025 MLB season and give you my Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 6 prediction.
The Dodgers turn to Yoshinobu Yamamoto for this elimination game. He had a 12-8 record, 2.49 ERA, and 0.99 WHIP in 173.2 innings during the regular season. His postseason has been elite as well. Yamamoto is 3-1 with a 1.57 ERA in the playoffs and threw a complete game earlier in this series already.
The Blue Jays will counter with Kevin Gausman, who went 10-11 with a 3.59 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP in the regular season. He is 2-2 with a 2.55 ERA in 24.2 IP during the postseason. Yamamoto gives the Dodgers a slight edge in the starting pitching department, but the Dodgers' bullpen has put them at a disadvantage once the starters come out of the game.
Shohei Ohtani has been the offensive engine for the Dodgers in October. He has eight homers, 14 RBI, and a .392 on-base percentage in 15 postseason games. But Ohtani has struggled over the last couple of games as the Blue Jays have pitched him more conservatively of late.
The Blue Jays will rely heavily on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He has been phenomenal in the postseason, batting .415 with eight home runs and 15 RBI. He could win World Series MVP if the Blue Jays come away with the win in this contest.

The Blue Jays have the momentum in this series going into Game 6. But the Dodgers have Yoshinobu Yamamoto on the mound and that could be enough to offset how well Toronto has been playing of late. I think we are going to get a Game 7 in this series and that Yamamoto will deliver another strong performance as the Dodgers should win Game 6 in Toronto.
