The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays will face off in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series in Toronto on Saturday night. These teams have split six games thus far and the winner on Saturday night will win what has been a memorable World Series so far. Before the first pitch is thrown on Saturday night in Toronto, continue reading to get my thoughts on this decider, including my Dodgers vs Blue Jays Game 7 prediction.
Pitching matchup: The Blue Jays have indicated Max Scherzer will go in Game 7 of the World Series. Scherzer is 1-0 this postseason but has a 4.50 ERA and has given up three home runs in 10 innings. He does have experience on big stages like this and will try to use that to his advantage. The Dodgers have not decided on a starter yet. It could be Tyler Glasnow, Shohei Ohtani, or another of their arms. The Dodgers will have to piece together their pitching situation if they want to win a second straight championship.
Key players: Mookie Betts was moved back in the lineup by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts ahead of Game 6 of this series. Betts responded by knocking in the runs that ended up making the difference in the game. He will need to produce at the plate again in Game 7. Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has lit up opposing pitching all postseason long and the Jays will need something from him to close this series out at home.
Championship Pressure: A World Series Game 7 is automatically the biggest game that a player will participate in during their baseball career. The Dodgers have championship experience, but they don't have World Series Game 7 experience and it will be interesting to see which side does the best job of handling the pressure of this moment.

There is very little to separate these teams going into Game 7 of the World Series. But I give the slightest of edges to the Blue Jays. Their pitching situation is a little more stable going into this championship-deciding matchup, while the Dodgers are going to throw Ohtani on short rest at some point. I'll take the Blue Jays as a home dog to win Game 7 and grab their first championship since 1993.
