The 76ers enter this contest with significant momentum, having won two straight games and three of their last four. They most recently dispatched the Dallas Mavericks 121–114 behind a 38‑point explosion from Tyrese Maxey. Maxey has been a consistent player for a Sixers team that needs consistency, shouldering much of the offensive load and emerging as Philadelphia’s leader on both ends of the floor.
Joel Embiid is listed as probable after missing recent games due to an illness and managed knee concerns, a development that should boost Philadelphia’s interior presence and overall depth. Philadelphia’s depth could be tested with VJ Edgecombe, Quentin Grimes, and Dominick Barlow listed as questionable with illnesses. I'm going to lay the points with the 76ers in this matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. Philly is playing some better basketball of late and they should continue to do so as long as Embiid and George are able to go here. Look for the Sxiers to control this contest and to head into the holiday break on a high note from the city of brotherly love.
