The Pistons are surging, riding 12-game winning streak into this matchup. They recently posted their 12th straight win with a dominant performance over Milwaukee, thanks to Cade Cunningham’s near triple-double and Jalen Duren’s strong inside presence. Detroit’s offense has been highly efficient, averaging nearly 119.5 points per game, while their defense remains stingy with 112.4 points per game allowed. Their balance and depth have made them one of the most well-rounded teams in the league.
On the other side, the Pacers are mired in a brutal injury crisis. Key rotation pieces are unavailable all over the place for Indiana. Tyrese Haliburton is out for the season and others like Obi Toppin, Aaron Nesmith, and Quenton Jackson are hurt. Indiana is averaging just 110.1 points per game while giving up 122.9, putting them near the bottom of the league in both offense and defense. Their lack of firepower and defensive rebounding issues have exposed serious vulnerabilities.
If Indiana is going to have a chance in any game this season, it's going to be because Pascal Siakam has a huge game. Siakam is being asked to do way too much this year given all of Indiana's injuries and the fact that Myles Turner went to Milwaukee. Siakam is averaging just under 25 points per game and even that hasn't been enough to help the Pacers win consistently.
Player | Prop to Watch |
|---|---|
Cade Cunningham | Over 27.5 Points |
Jalen Duren | Over 12.5 Rebounds |
Pascal Siakam | Over 23.5 Points |
Andrew Nembhard | Under 6.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Pistons 124 – Pacers 108
Win Probability: Pistons 75%, Pacers 25%
All signs point to a convincing Pistons win in this game. With Detroit in full stride and Indiana shorthanded, this feels like a spot where the Pistons can impose their will over 48 minutes. I will lay the points with the Pistons, who should win their 13th straight game while dropping the rival Pacers to 2-15 on the season.
