The Indiana Pacers will travel to Philadelphia on Friday for an Eastern Conference contest with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Pacers come into this game with a rare bit of momentum on their side, while the Sixers will try to take advantage of some of their key players being on the floor together. Philadelphia enters this game trying to find consistency on both ends. The 76ers are coming off a loss to the Lakers where Joel Embiid shot poorly and Paul George struggled to make a major impact. Tyrese Maxey, however, has been excellent this season, averaging over 31 points and more than 7 assists per game. Maxey has become the focal point of the team’s offense. The status of Kelly Oubre Jr. remains in question, impacting perimeter shooting and defensive versatility. Embiid and Maxey are also listed as questionable for this contest.
For the Pacers, recent games have shown improvement, with Bennedict Mathurin returning and delivering 25 points in a recent win over Sacramento and Andrew Nembhard posting strong numbers. Indiana has struggled this season overall, ranking low in both offensive and defensive efficiency, but they are starting to get healthier and have won two games in a row going into this contest. The absence of Ben Sheppard and Aaron Nesmith continues to limit their depth. But having Mathurin back on the floor has been a huge positive for this team.

The injury situations for both teams could limit them from playing to their full potential in this game. I do think that the Sixers will win this contest as long as Maxey is on the floor here. But I'm going to take the points with the Indiana Pacers on the road. Indiana is playing some better basketball of late and that trend should continue as the lack of reliability for Joel Embiid and Paul George is a real concern for Philly this year.
