- The Heat have been stronger than the Bulls over the first half of the season, sitting above .500 and winning three of their last five games. The Heat did drop two games against the Minnesota Timberwolves recently, but have taken care of business against weaker competition over the last couple of weeks.
- Miami’s roster health is fairly solid with most of their rotation players available, although Jaime Jaquez Jr. is questionable due to an ankle issue. Terry Rozier is also out, dealing with his off-court issues at this time.
- The Bulls have battled through a rash of injuries, with key contributors like Josh Giddey still sidelined due to a hamstring strain and Jalen Smith out with a concussion. Those injuries have diminished their offensive firepower. Losing Giddey is especially damaging for the Bulls, as he was leading the team in points, rebounds, and assists before he went down.
