The Milwaukee Bucks will travel to Memphis on Friday to take on the Memphis Grizzlies in a game between two of the most disappointing teams in the NBA this season. Both teams enter this contest having lost two of their last three games, but are coming off wins in their most recent outing. Which team will get its second win in a row? Injuries continue to play a large role in this game for both teams. The Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo due to a calf strain and Taurean Prince with a neck issue, while Gary Trent Jr. is listed as a game-time decision. Antetokounmpo’s absence dramatically affects Milwaukee’s scoring and defensive presence at the rim, reducing their ceiling and forcing others to step up. Ryan Rollins and Kevin Porter Jr. have assumed larger offensive roles in recent games, with Rollins leading the team in scoring.
Multiple rotation players are sidelined for Memphis, including Brandon Clarke, Scotty Pippen Jr., Ty Jerome, and Zach Edey. Ja Morant and Cedric Coward are both listed as questionable for this contest, meaning their status could shift pre-game as well. Memphis’ offensive rhythm has not been disrupted quite as dramatically as Milwaukee's of late, but it's hard to expect much consistency out of either of these banged-up teams.

This should be a close game for the most part, but the Grizzlies have a slightly higher ceiling in my opinion. Memphis has a chance of its top scoring threat suiting up for this game, while the Bucks are without Giannis. On top of that, the depth of the Grizzlies behind their stars is slightly better. I'll lay the points with the Grizzlies, but I don't feel confident based on what we've seen from both of these teams throughout the season so far.
