The Thunder have been among the league’s elite with an outstanding 25-2 record and electric offense, while the Timberwolves are fighting to protect their home court and their position in the playoff picture. The Thunder (25-2) have been incredible this season, combining elite offensive firepower with tenacious defense en route to one of the NBA’s best win percentages. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continues to lead OKC with elite scoring, posting MVP-level numbers and carrying Oklahoma City through tough stretches where injuries impacted them.
In their most recent game, Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points as the Thunder routed the Clippers 122-101, highlighted by strong defensive pressure that forced a massive turnover total from Los Angeles. Cason Wallace has also emerged as a premier disruptive guard, leading the league in steals and contributing valuable secondary scoring.
Minnesota enters with a solid 17-10 record. The Wolves just suffered a 116-110 loss to the Grizzlies, a contest marked by offensive struggles from long range and a lack of consistent scoring without Anthony Edwards. It's hard to bet against the Oklahoma City Thunder given how good they have been all season long. But I'm going to take the points with the Timberwolves on their home floor tonight. OKC is on the second leg of a back-to-back here and should struggle to win by a convincing margin against a Wolves team that has a ton of toughness. I expect the Thunder to win, but for the Wolves to cover.
