Toronto enters this matchup off a dazzling offensive showing, with Scottie Barnes posting historic numbers. He had a 23-point, 25-rebound, 10-assist triple-double against Golden State. Brandon Ingram and Immanuel Quickley also provided strong scoring contributions, giving the Raptors multiple threats in that victory. The key question for Toronto will be how refreshed they are after the overtime game and whether a minutes restriction for RJ Barrett will cause them any problems in his return to action.
The Magic come in after a home win over the Denver Nuggets in their last game. Orlando’s backcourt and wings have been solid contributors with Desmond Bane and Paolo Banchero leading the way, and Anthony Black offering a secondary scoring option. However, the Magic have been impacted by injury absences, with forward Franz Wagner out and Jalen Suggs listed as questionable. This should be an incredibly tight game between two teams with their sights set on the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. I am leaning toward the Raptors on their home floor, as they should get enough out of Brandon Ingram in clutch time to get the win here. But this is going to be an incredibly close game between two hard-nosed teams, no matter who comes away with the victory in the end.
