Philadelphia enters this game having won on Monday night against the Indiana Pacers. The Sixers got 30 points from Joel Embiid in that game, but Embiid is not expected to play on the second leg of a back-to-back against the Suns. That will mean more of the offensive workload on the plate of Tyrese Maxey. Maxey is averaging over 30 points per game and is central to the 76ers’ offensive identity, even more so with Embiid off the floor.
The Suns are contending with their own availability uncertainty here. Phoenix’s star shooting guard Jalen Green has been dealing with a hamstring issue that has kept him out leading into this contest and he could miss this game as well. Devin Booker has battled left ankle soreness and it will be interesting to see what his status looks like in the Suns' second game in as many nights.
While this is the second game of a back-to-back for both teams, don't expect either team to take it easy here. The Sixers enter this game in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, while the Suns are seventh in the West.
