The Sacramento Kings (3–10) head into Sunday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs (8–4) aiming to break out of what’s been a rough stretch. The Kings have lost five games in a row and will try to end their losing streak against a Spurs team that is off to a strong start at home for the year. This contest features two teams on very different paths. The Kings are reeling, coming in on a five-game losing streak. Their offense still leans heavily on veteran scorers like Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis. But they have been horrible on defense and their depth isn't enough to help those veteran scorers do enough to win games.
The Spurs are off to a hot start and will look to maintain their edge in San Antonio. Their cornerstone is Victor Wembanyama, who is putting up elite numbers. Wemby is averaging 26.7 points, 13.7 boards, and 4.7 blocks per game. The Spurs suffered a loss in their last game against the Golden State Warriors on Friday and they will try to end a two-game losing streak here.
San Antonio's only two home losses this season both came against the Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry went nuclear in those two games, scoring over 40 points in each of them to help defeat the Spurs. As long as no member of the Kings has a similar performance here, the Spurs will be expected to win at home.

The Kings have been horrible on defense so far this season. They are allowing 124.5 points per game, which is the worst mark in the Western Conference entering Sunday's play. Their struggles on defense should continue in this game and I will lay the points with the Spurs on their home floor as they should end their two-game skid.
