The Toronto Raptors will close out a five-game road trip against a deeply depleted Indiana Pacers squad on Saturday. The Raptors enter with a solid 7–5 record, while the Pacers are reeling at just 1–11, battling significant injury troubles that have dramatically impacted their production. Here, I break down this Eastern Conference matchup in the NBA and give you my Raptors vs Pacers prediction for Saturday night.
The Indiana Pacers are in crisis mode. Their record stands at 1–11 and their offense has been wildly inefficient, averaging only 108.5 points per game. Their field goal percentage is a paltry 39.9% and they are shooting just 29.5% from three-point range.
Those subpar numbers are compounded by a rash of injuries. Tyrese Haliburton is out for the season and other rotation players such as Quenton Jackson, Obi Toppin, and Johnny Furphy are sidelined or limited in some capacity.
For Toronto, the vibe is more optimistic. They are 7–5 and have been sharp offensively. Scottie Barnes is averaging 20.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game. Immanuel Quickley has caught fire too, averaging 25.0 points over his last 10 games. The Raptors' balanced scoring and defensive discipline give them a clear edge against the undermanned Pacers.

Indiana’s season has spiraled behind key injuries and poor efficiency from the field and beyond the arc.
