Two teams on very different recent arcs collide in Central Florida as Toronto visits Orlando for a nationally televised Friday night game in the NBA. Our Raptors vs Magic Pick
Pick: Magic -1.5 ATS PRO
Confidence: 3 out of 5
Game Snapshot
Matchup: Toronto Raptors @ Orlando Magic
Date & Time: Friday, January 30, 2026, 7:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Kia Center, Orlando, Florida
Broadcast: ESPN
Key Storylines
Injuries and availability: Orlando lists Franz Wagner out with an ankle issue, and depth up front is thin with Colin Castleton also out. Toronto continues to be without Jakob Poeltl due to a back issue, with Chucky Hepburn also inactive.
Recent form: The Magic had gone well over a week without a win before snapping their losing streak with a win over Miami in their last game. Toronto just had a rough home loss to New York, but its prior road swing featured statement wins at Golden State, Sacramento, Portland, and even as double-digit underdogs at Oklahoma City.
Star power and usage: Paolo Banchero leads Orlando in scoring, rebounding, and assist volume. Toronto’s attack centers on Brandon Ingram’s shot creation with Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley making plays even when they are not lighting up the scoreboard.
This is an important game for both teams in the Eastern Conference standings. The Raptors and Magic are both in the top 8 in the East, separated by just 3.5 games of one another. But those 3.5 games are the difference between fourth place and eighth place in the conference and the winner of this game will do themselves a big favor in the race for the playoffs.

Final Thoughts
I am going to take the Orlando Magic to win at home as a slight underdog against the Raptors on Friday night. The Raptors are certainly playing well latley, but they could struggle to score here against a Magic team that is one of the few in the Eastern Conference that can match up with them on the defensive end of the floor. This won't be a pretty game, but I expect Orlando to get the win when all is said and done.
