Cooper Kupp Super Bowl LX Player Prop Predictions

Cooper Kupp is a former Super Bowl MVP, having won the award as a member of the Los Angeles Rams. Now he is back in the Super Bowl as a member of the Seattle Seahawks and he will try to win a second championship ring with a second franchise. The first of my two Cooper Kupp player props is for Kupp to go over 32.5 receiving yards on Super Bowl Sunday. Kupp has cleared this number in each of Seattle's two wins in the playoffs so far this year. I think that he will do enough to clear 32.5 receiving yards again in this game, despite the fact that the Patriots have one of the best defenses in the NFL.
A big factor that should help Kupp to clear this total is the fact that opposing defenses will have to prioritize defending Jaxon Smith-Njigba over Kupp for the most part. Kupp is a great receiver, but JSN might be the best receiver in the NFL today. That should help Kupp's usage to some degree and that should result in him going over his receiving yardage total.
Next up, I think that Kupp will go over 3.5 receptions in Super Bowl LX. Kupp has also exceeded this number in the last two playoff games for the Seahawks, hauling in four or more passes against the 49ers and Rams over the last two rounds. Kupp should be a frequent enough target for Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold to reach this number once again, as he is always a comfortable target for Darnold given Kupp's talent and experience.
An interesting bet to consider in this game is on whether or not Kupp will win Super Bowl MVP. Kupp has already won this award once, racking up 92 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams' Super Bowl LVI win over the Cincinnati Bengals. And while Kupp is at 100/1 odds to win SBMVP this time around, I don't think that Kupp is a good bet to win that individual honor.
When you look at the Super Bowl MVP odds, there are two main obstacles for Kupp as he tries to win MVP. First, it is always more likely that the quarterback of the winning team will win this award. If the Seahawks win the game, Sam Darnold is the most likely to win MVP. But there is also the possibility that Jaxon Smith-Njigba wins MVP, as JSN is likely to put up bigger numbers in this game than Kupp based on the odds for both in the prop markets.
