The Mammoth are 3-2-0 and are hunting for a third win in a row. Utah is a heavy favorite going into this contest and they will try to justify that billing with a win on home ice. The Mammoth arrive off a 6-3 home win over the San Jose Sharks in which multiple forwards stepped up to pour on the goals. Nick Schmaltz collected a hat trick and an assist and Utah’s defense was sharp enough to get the job done. The Bruins are attempting to rebound from three straight losses, including losses to Vegas and Colorado to begin their current road trip.
Utah’s goaltending has been a quiet strength early in the season. Mammoth starter Karel Vejmelka is 3-1 on the season and has a 2.00 GAA. His team ranks fourth in the fewest goals allowed in the league. Boston’s top goaltender is Jeremy Swayman, who played in last night's loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Utah has yet to lose at home this season and I don't think they are going to lose at home here either. The Bruins are playing for the second night in a row and they should struggle against a fresher Mammoth attack. I'll lay the puckline with the Mammoth in this game, as they should get a third win in a row and hand Boston a fourth consecutive loss.
