Colorado Avalanche vs Vegas Golden Knights Prediction - 10/31/2025

The Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights will face off at T-Mobile Arena in a Friday afternoon start in Las Vegas. Both of these teams are off to strong starts to this season and are in the top three in their respective divisions. The winner of this game will get a second straight victory and make a statement against another postseason contender in the Western Conference. Before the puck drops in Vegas, continue reading to get my Avalanche vs Golden Knights prediction.
The Avalanche lean on Scott Wedgewood in goal. He has been decent, but the margin for error against a high‑powered Vegas attack is minuscule. Wedgewood is 6-1-2 and has a 2.59 GAA so far this year. The Golden Knights’ expected starter is Akira Schmid. Schmid has done a fantastic job of filling in for the injured Adin Hill with a 2.73 GAA this season. Vegas allows 2.70 goals per game and will need to be great defensively to contend with Colorado's elite defense.
Player | Prop Type | Projection |
|---|---|---|
Nathan MacKinnon | Total Points | Over 1.5 |
Jack Eichel | Goals | Over 0.5 |
Cale Makar | Assists | Over 0.5 |
Score Projection: Vegas Golden Knights 4 – Colorado Avalanche 3
Win Probability: Vegas 59%, Colorado 41%
We should see a very good game early in the day on Halloween between these two teams. I'm going to go with the Golden Knights to grab the win at home. Vegas has won three of their four home games this season and they have secured at least a point in all four of their home games. I'll take the Knights to continue their winning ways at home thanks to another big game from Eichel.
