Edmonton arrives at 2-2-1 and they have lost two games in a row coming into this contest. The played all three New York/New Jersey teams on the road over their last three games. After defeating the Rangers, they lost to the Devils and Islanders and will try to bounce back in this game.
Detroit is 4-1-0 and come in off a 2-1 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Dylan Larkin scored the OT winner and has recorded a point in every game this season. The Red Wings have won four games in a row and Detroit’s start is arguably one of the better storylines early this year.
Calvin Pickard started in net on Saturday for the Oilers against the Devils. That means we should see Stuart Skinner play on the second leg of the back-to-back for Edmonton. Skinner is Edmonton's normal starter, so this isn't anything problematic for the Oil. The Red Wings have relied on Cam Talbot in net, who is 3-0-0 with a 1.78 GAA.

The Red Wings are slight underdogs at home going into this game. But I think that the Wings should get the job done at home. Detroit has won four games in a row and should take advantage of the tired legs of the Oilers in this matchup. I'll go with the Wings to pick up the win and to hand the Oilers their third straight defeat.
