The Tuesday NHL slate has Nashville heading to Boston for a late-January tilt with the Bruins. The Bruins have steadied things after a rocky spell and return to TD Garden looking to rebound from a heartbreaking loss the night before. Nashville will try to take advantage of their fatigue and end a rough run of their own here. Before the puck is dropped in Boston, my Predators vs Bruins prediction can be found below.

Key Storylines
Recent form
Boston has won two of its last three games. They had a two-game winning streak snapped in an overtime loss to the New York Rangers on Monday night.
Nashville has dropped three of its last four games. Their defense has struggled mightily, allowing five goals or more in their three losses during that span.
Goaltending
Goaltending will be a key for the Bruins in this contest. Jeremy Swayman is expected to get the start in this matchup. The Bruins are on the second game of a back-to-back and held Swayman out of last night's game so that they could use him here.
Nashville's Juuse Saros is 20-17-3 with a 3.04 goals-against average and .895 save percentage. He will need to be at or near his best for the Preds to get this game on the road.
Key skaters
David Pastrnak leads Boston with 67 points on 21 goals and 46 helpers, while Morgan Geekie’s finishing has turned games late.
Ryan O’Reilly paces Nashville at 50 points with 18 goals and 32 assists, and Steven Stamkos sits on 25 goals after a hat trick against Ottawa.
Betting Trends & H2H
This is the first meeting between these teams this season.
The over is 27-24 in games involving the Predators this year.
The Bruins have gone 29-23 to the over for the season.

Final Thoughts
Boston is the better team going into this game, but I'm concerned about their ability to come back and deliver after playing an overtime game just a night prior. Instead of taking a side in this game, I think there is more value on the total, according to my projections. I am expecting a high-scoring game between these teams and the over is the way to go, with Nashville's defense struggling of late and Boston skating on tired legs for the most part.
