New York snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-2 win in Carolina in their last game. That was a much-needed response after a difficult stretch. Their offense looked alive again, with contributions from multiple sources and solid netminding from starter Igor Shesterkin.
Boston enters on a high after a 3-1 win over the Islanders, powered by a commanding goaltending night from Jeremy Swayman. The Bruins have been relatively steady over the last 10 games, going 6-4-0 over that stretch. They will try to get a nice win here over the Rangers to get their third win in four games.
The Rangers are expected to start Igor Shesterkin, who has a goals-against average of 2.47 with a .911 save percentage. They also have Jonathan Quick as an option if needed. Boston's Jeremy Swayman is fresh off a 44-save performance last game. He seems set to go here as well, giving Boston a strong backbone in goal.
Artemi Panarin leads the Rangers offense this season with 22 points and 7 goals. Defenseman Adam Fox provides stability from the blue line, leading the team with 19 assists. Boston’s Morgan Geekie has been red-hot recently and leads the Bruins with 17 goals. David Pastrnak has 18 assists and 29 total points to lead the Bruins in those categories.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Artemi Panarin | Over 0.5 Points |
Morgan Geekie | Over 0.5 Goals |
David Pastrnak | Over 0.5 Assists |
Score Projection: Rangers 2 – Bruins 3
Win Probability: Rangers 47%, Bruins 53%
This is going to be a tight game and my best bet for this contest is for it to stay under the total. Both goaltenders are performing at a high level of late and we should see them shut down their opposition for the most part. This contest should stay under 5.5 goals in a game that should be suspenseful throughout the afternoon in Beantown.
