In that game, 12 different skaters registered points and their backup netminder made 36 saves. Florida appears to be settling in just as they begin a long homestand. The Flyers are 11–7–3 on the season and have shown signs of life on the road. Over their last 10 games, they’ve gone 5–3–2 and they will try to find a way to win on the road against the defending champs.
Goaltending will likely be a major area of focus. The Flyers appear to have the edge in goaltender save percentage and reliability with Dan Vladar in goal. But the gap between Vladar's numbers this year and those of Florida's Sergei Bobrovsky isn't massive by any means and it will take a strong individual effort from one of the two netminders to win this game.
The Panthers lean heavily on Brad Marchand, who leads the squad with 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. Florida should have no problem winning this game at home. The Panthers are trending in the right direction and they should continue to do so as their roster continues to get healthier. I'll take the Panthers on the moneyline, though I don't mind the idea of backing the Panthers to cover the puckline at a much better price.
