Both of these teams are off to remarkable starts to their seasons, but only one of them can get the win in Winnipeg here. The Penguins have opened the season at 8‑2-2. Their most recent win came on the road against the Minnesota Wild. They are coming off a strong stretch in which they scored three or more goals in six of their last nine games against the Jets historically. The Jets are 8‑3‑0 and have won three of their last four games. The Penguins have earned at least a point in six of their seven road games so far this year, but this may be their toughest road test yet this season.
Pittsburgh is likely to go with Tristan Jarry in net for this game. Jarry has a GAA of 2.35 and will try to keep all of the dangerous attackers for Winnipeg from finding the net. The Jets have Connor Hellebuyck in goal. The Jets give up 2.55 goals against per game while averaging 3.64 goals per game on the attack. Hellebuyck has a 2.34 GAA and will be expected to play well again for the Jets today.
Winnipeg's Mark Scheifele (9 goals, 9 assists) leads a strong offensive group. Kyle Connor is also a threat with 15 points so far this year. Penguins veteran Sidney Crosby reached 1,701 career points recently and remains the offensive engine of his team. Evgeni Malkin leads the Penguins with 17 points, while Crosby has a team-high eight goals.

The Jets have the goaltending advantage in this game and the Connor/Scheifele duo should propel Winnipeg to a third win in a row and fourth in in five games.
