Seattle did lose its return after the Olympic break against the Dallas Stars last night and will try to bounce back here. The Blues have dropped four of their last five games and will try to start strong out of their Olympic break.
Goaltending could be a deciding factor in this one. Seattle’s netminders have posted stronger numbers on save percentage and goals against, which has helped keep the Kraken competitive even in tight games. They could go with Joey Daccord in this contest as Philipp Grubauer works his way back from Olympic competition. St. Louis’s goaltending has been less reliable overall, with Jordan Binnington struggling mightily this season. We should see Joel Hofer in net with that in mind.
