The Vegas Golden Knights and Calgary Flames will play in an important Western Conference matchup in the NHL on Tuesday night. The Knights have played three games that have gone to overtime and they will look for a less suspenseful victory here. Vegas enters at 1-0-2 on the season and remains without a regulation loss. They have had two games go to overtime and have a shootout loss under their belt as well. They’ve shown an ability to stay competitive in every game, but they need to turn those tight games into wins more often.
Calgary is 1-2 so far this season. They won their first game of the season in a shootout against the Edmonton Oilers. But they have struggled since then, dropping two games in a row coming into this contest. The Flames will try to get back on track after being outscored 9-3 in their last two games.
Adin Hill is expected to start this game for the Knights. He has had two appearances in net and has a 3.24 GAA, with both of his games ending in overtime losses. Calgary’s goaltending situation is anchored by Dustin Wolf. Wolf is 1-2 on the season and has a 3.99 GAA. He will hope for some help from his defense to help him perform better in this game.
Vegas has been led offensively by Pavel Dorofeyev, who already has five goals, making him one of the hotter forwards in the early season. Jack Eichel is contributing as well, with five assists and two goals. Calgary’s Matt Coronato has chipped in offensively with a couple of goals and is one of the brighter spots offensively for the Flames. But Calgary’s top lines have yet to dominate play and their scoring is under scrutiny going into this game.

The Flames have struggled over their last couple of games. But I think that they are going to turn things around with a win against the Golden Knights. I expect Kadri to get things going offensively for Calgary and for the Flames to steal this game at home.
