The Saskatchewan Roughriders will visit the Edmonton Elks on Saturday in a Week 17 CFL matchup. Saskatchewan (10-3) has already locked up a playoff berth and leads the West, while Edmonton (5-9) is fighting to salvage any postseason hope late in the season. Saskatchewan QB Trevor Harris: Harris has been reliable, efficient, and composed this year. In the Riders’ recent loss to Montreal, he passed for 23/32 and 252 yards with a touchdown. He led the Riders to 31 points in that game and was let down by their defense.
Edmonton QB Cody Fajardo: Fajardo has delivered multiple-TD games and added spark after the QB change. In their most recent outing, he threw for 280 yards. He was also let down by his team's defense, as 27 points was not good enough to beat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. This week, he will face pressure from Saskatchewan’s pass rush and secondary, and must rely on safety valves.

Saskatchewan enters this game as the more complete team and has both the defensive strength and quarterback stability to outclass the Elks. Edmonton will try to keep this game close with Fajardo’s arm, but the Riders’ secondary and pass rush should make it difficult for them to do that. My best bet for this game is for Saskatchewan to cover the spread as a home favourite to close out Week 17 in the CFL.
