Both teams enter this contest with records below .500 as they look for some momentum with conference play fast approaching. Campbell enters this contest having dropped its most recent game in lopsided fashion at Minnesota, where the Camels struggled on both ends of the floor and shot poorly from deep. Campbell’s 5-7 overall record reflects inconsistency, though it has been tough to beat at home with an unbeaten 4-0 record in its own building. Campbell has also played Gonzaga and multiple Big Ten teams early in the season and they will try to overcome a less daunting opponent here.
DJ Smith has been a reliable scorer for the Camels, averaging 18.3 points per game, with Dovydas Butka adding production on the glass and scoring. Campbell’s offense produces just over 79 points per outing, but the defense has given up slightly more, leaving questions about its ability to contain a Phoenix squad that can score in bunches.
Green Bay has shown more consistent competitiveness this season under second-year head coach Doug Gottlieb, including a recent victory over UCSB where Marcus Hall scored 25 points to lift the Phoenix. Green Bay’s 6-7 record includes some tight losses and quality wins, but its road record has been poor, going 1-5 away from home.
Key contributors for the Phoenix include Hall, CJ O’Hara, and point guard Preston Ruedinger. The Phoenix have improved compared to what we saw from them last season and they will try to get back to the .500 mark for the season with a win here.

I'm expecting Campbell to win this contest on its home floor and for the Fighting Camels to move to 5-0 at home this year. But I think that we are in for a very close game and I am going to take the points with a Green Bay team that has been better this year than they were a season ago.
