Tulsa Golden Hurricane vs Auburn Tigers Prediction: Who Will Win NIT Championship Game?

Oklahoma Sooners vs West Virginia Mountaineers Prediction: Who Wins the College Basketball Crown Title?

The Houston Cougars and Oakland Golden Grizzlies will go at it in college basketball action on Wednesday night. Houston enters this contest as the nation’s top-ranked team and has two convincing wins to open the year. Oakland is 0–2 and weathering a brutal non-conference schedule. Houston is a huge favorite going into this game. Find out if I think they cover the spread as I make my Oakland vs Houston prediction in college hoops.
Houston comes in at 2-0 and just claimed the No. 1 spot in the AP poll. They have posted blowout wins over Lehigh and Towson, primarily on the strength of limiting those opponents to 52.5 points per game. Their offensive output has been modest early, but they are elite on the defensive end of the floor as usual.
Oakland is 0-2 to start their season. They started with a blowout loss at Michigan and followed it up with a more competitive 10-point defeat at Purdue on Friday. This is a virtually impossible situation for Oakland in terms of winning this game. But they proved against Purdue that they are capable of generating offense against quality competition. The question will be whether or not they can generate offense against the best defense in the sport.
Oakland was pretty impressive in hanging with Purdue the last time we saw them on the floor. But Houston's defense is an entirely different challenge. Oakland isn't going to be able to get easy back cuts for buckets against the Cougars like they did at times during Purdue on Friday night. I'm going to lay the massive number with the top team in the country, as their defense should shut down the Golden Grizzlies from start to finish.
