The Suns (6‑5) have shaken off a slow start and are building momentum behind an uptick in scoring and improved cohesion. Phoenix is averaging 116.8 points per game and shooting 46.5% from the field. They swept a two-game mini-series with the LA Clippers before beating the New Orleans Pelicans to get three wins in a row. They will try to build on that against a banged-up Mavs team here.
Dallas (3‑8) is struggling to find its identity. Injuries have made it hard for the Mavs to field a competitive team early in the year. But the vibes could still be incredible in American Airlines Center on Wednesday night. The firing of GM Nico Harrison is something that Mavs fans were clamoring for after the Luka Doncic trade last season. Now that the Mavs have opted to ditch Harrison, the fans could be happy in the building during this game despite Dallas' poor record.
