Betting Market | Odds |
|---|---|
Spread | Boston College -6 |
Moneyline | Boston College -210 | California +175 |
Total | 52.5 |
Dylan Lonergan (Boston College): The redshirt sophomore has shown flashes of brilliance for Boston College. Lonergan has thrown for 991 yards and nine touchdowns, with just one interception. His familiarity with head coach Bill O'Brien's pro-style system has facilitated a smooth transition from the Crimson Tide.
Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele (California): JKS hasn't been terrible this season for Cal. He has six touchdown passes and three interceptions so far this year. But he is coming off a shutout loss to SDSU and has to be better for the Eagles to get a win in this matchup.
Score Projection: Boston College 31 – California 27
Win Probability: Boston College 70%, California 30%
Boston College is at home and has the advantage at the quarterback position going into this matchup. But I am inclined to take the points with Cal here. The Golden Bears should be able to run the ball effectively and wind the clock throughout this contest. We should see a tight game late. I think Boston College will ultimately win it, but it will be close enough for Cal to cover the spread.
