Charlotte 49ers vs Georgia Bulldogs Prediction - 11/22/2025

The Georgia Bulldogs (9–1) will host the Charlotte 49ers (1–9) on Saturday afternoon at Sanford Stadium. Georgia is coming off a convincing 35–10 victory over Texas and will be expected to destroy a Charlotte that arrives with just one win on the year. Can Georgia cover the spread as one of the biggest favorites in college football this week? I attempt to answer that question as I make my Charlotte vs Georgia prediction.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Charlotte and Georgia. For Georgia, it’s a tune-up game with major implications. The Bulldogs are still very much in the mix for a College Football Playoff berth and are still in a spot where they could make the SEC Championship Game. A win here wouldn't really help them in any way, but a loss would be disqualifying for their playoff chances.
Charlotte is nearing the end a rough season under head coach Tim Albin, having won only once against an FCS opponent. The 49ers will be playing for pride and for a chance to make history as one of the biggest underdogs to ever win a college football game. But it would take nothing short of a miracle for the 49ers to get a win like that here.
Georgia’s offense is led by Gunner Stockton, who has been steady for the most part throughout the season. He’s completing a very high percentage of his throws, and has 19 touchdown passes to just 3 interceptions for the year. Charlotte’s passing game is under the direction of Grayson Loftis. Loftis has thrown for 1,145 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions this year. The 49ers’ offense faces a stout Georgia defense that ranks among the better units in limiting opponents both in the SEC and in smaller conferences. Needless to say, Georgia should have the advantage in this facet of the game.

Georgia is going to win this game, with the question just being by how much they will win. I can't see Charlotte scoring more than once or twice in this game. But instead of laying all of those points with Georgia, I'm going to take the under in this game instead. Georgia should be able to run the ball throughout this game and will have very little incentive to do anything but run the clock late.
