The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens face an uphill battle this Saturday as they travel to Winston-Salem to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. With Wake Forest sitting at 7-3 and Delaware at 5-5, the Demon Deacons enter as clear favorites while Delaware is trying to become bowl eligible. Delaware’s Transition and Urgency: Delaware continues its move from FCS to FBS, a shift that naturally brings fluctuations. At 5-5, the Blue Hens have done a fine job of building credibility, but depth and consistency remain issues. Their offense can produce through the air, though sustaining that against a power conference defense is a tough ask.
Wake Forest’s Steady Output: At 7-3, Wake Forest has formed a reliable identity. They’ve controlled tempo, relied on a productive ground game, and have a defense that limits big plays. Their home performance has been especially strong, entering this game at 4-2 at home so far this season.
