Duke vs Clemson Pick & Prediction - 11/1/2025

The Duke Blue Devils and Clemson Tigers will meet in ACC play on Saturday afternoon in college football. Both of these teams are within a game of the .500 mark this season and will try to help their bowl eligibility causes with a win in Death Valley. Before this conference matchup kicks off from Clemson, continue reading for my Duke vs Clemson prediction.
One of the biggest storylines entering this game is that Clemson is underperforming relative to expectations. The Tigers entered the season with high hopes, but they are at 3‑4 going into this contest. The Tigers' last game was a loss to SMU and Dabo Swinney's team had an idle week after that. Clemson will hope that extra week to prepare for this game will do them some good.
Duke is also coming off an idle week after suffering a loss in its last game. The Blue Devils were beaten by the undefeated Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in their last game. Duke failed to reach 20 points in that game and they will need to be sharper on offense if they are going to avoid a second loss in a row on Saturday.
This is an important game for both teams in the ACC. Duke is just one game back of the leaders in the ACC in the loss column. Duke has an uphill climb if they want to get into the conference championship game, but the Blue Devils can't afford to lose more games if they want that to happen. Clemson needs to keep winning and get some help if they want any shot of playing for the conference championship.
The quarterback situation is worth watching going into this game. Clemson expects the return of Cade Klubnik, who has 11 touchdown passes to five interceptions so far this season. Duke quarterback Darian Mensah has been more efficient. He has 2,211 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and two interceptions for the year. Mensah will need to avoid pressure from the Clemson defensive front to maximize his potential in this ACC game.
Score Projection: Duke 24 – Clemson 27
Win Probability: Duke 44%, Clemson 56%
I give Clemson a slight edge when it comes to the final score of this game on their home turf. But I'm skeptical when it comes to their ability to win this game by more than a field goal. The Blue Devils are more explosive offensively and should be able to hang around in this game. I'll take the points with Duke in an important matchup in the ACC.
