Toledo enters the game as a slight favorite, but this game is expected to be a close one no matter which program comes out on top. Toledo quarterback Tucker Gleason has been instrumental in the team's offensive success. In their recent 45-10 victory over Kent State, Gleason threw for a season-high 294 yards and four touchdowns. He will try to lead the Rockets' offense effectively again here.
Washington State's quarterback situation has been less stable. The Cougars have struggled with consistency at the position, impacting their offensive performance. Their recent 22-20 loss to Virginia highlighted issues in the passing game, where they were unable to capitalize on opportunities in the second half.
This is an interesting spot for these teams. Playing a non-conference game this late in the season is a great chance for teams to reset before getting back to conference action. It will be interesting to see how motivated both of these teams look in this contest given that it won't do anything for Toledo's conference title hopes.
Toledo's offense should help them to get through this matchup with a win on the road against a Pac-12 opponent.
