Washington comes into this contest as a well‑rounded team. They have plenty of momentum after winning three of their last four games. Their most recent outing was a convincing 42‑25 win over Illinois. Washington's defense has been the driving force behind the team's success this year. They have allowed 20.9 points per game and will try to shut down a Wisconsin team that has struggled to move the ball effectively throughout the year.
Wisconsin is 2-6 overall and 0-5 in Big Ten play this season. They are in a position where they need to win four straight games to end the season if they want to see a bowl game. That is highly unlikely and the Badgers need to win this game to have any chance at kick-starting a run like that. The Badgers have lost six games in a row after a 2-0 start and they have scored 5.4 points per game over their last five games.
Sophomore quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is at the heart of the Washington offense. He has racked up 2,117 yards with 14 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. He has been highly efficient, completing 73.1% of his pass attempts. He has also added 429 rushing yards and 4 rushing scores.
Wisconsin remains hampered by instability at quarterback. Injuries and a lack of effectiveness for multiple quarterbacks have prevented Wisconsin from keeping up with their competition in the Big Ten. It will be interesting to see if that changes at all in this game.

Wisconsin's offense has been a train wreck throughout this season and that has led to most of their games staying under their totals. I think we will see something similar in this game, as Washington's defense should stifle the ineffective offense of the Badgers. I'll take the under in this game, as both teams should have trouble putting points on the board on a consistent basis.
