Atlanta Hawks vs San Antonio Spurs Prediction - 11/20/2025

The Atlanta Hawks head into their road showdown with the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday still grappling with injuries at key spots. The Spurs are also missing big-name contributors, and have leaned on their depth and cohesion to stay sharp of late. With both of these teams showing a ton of toughness of late, we should be in for a good game in San Antonio on Thursday. Here, I make my Hawks vs Spurs prediction for this matchup.
Injuries loom large for both teams right now. The Hawks remain without star guard Trae Young, who is sidelined with a right knee sprain. Their frontcourt is also dealing with injury concerns. Kristaps Porziņģis is listed as day‑to‑day with knee soreness, while Zaccharie Risacher is dealing with a hip contusion. These injuries have forced role players to step up, but they also could leave Atlanta vulnerable late in games.
San Antonio will again be without Stephon Castle, a critical playmaker. Perhaps more impactful is the absence of Victor Wembanyama. Wemby is also out with a calf strain, depriving the Spurs of their rim protector and top all-around star. In their absences, the Spurs have leaned on De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, and pieces like Keldon Johnson and Kelly Olynyk to carry the load.
San Antonio is wrapping up a five-game homestand, after which they embark on a difficult stretch with seven of their next eight games on the road. The Hawks arrive with confidence. They were on a four-game road winning streak before their loss to Detroit.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
De’Aaron Fox | Over 24.5 points |
De’Aaron Fox | Over 7.5 assists |
Score Projection: Hawks 117 – Spurs 113
Win Probability: Hawks 55%, Spurs 45%
I think that the Spurs will get a huge game from De'Aaron Fox tonight, as he will be more free to operate like he did in Sacramento without Wemby and Castle on the floor. But I'm not sure that will be enough for the Spurs to come away with a win in this game. The chances of both teams could change drastically depending on which Hawks are able to play in this game. But I'll take Atlanta to cover the spread for now.
