Detroit has been one of the NBA’s standout teams this season, sporting a 20-5 record and winning each of their last three games. The Pistons average close to 120 points per game and have been effective in pushing the pace and scoring efficiently when in the half-court. They also defend well, holding opponents to 113.3 points per game. Cade Cunningham leads the way with stellar all-around numbers and his 9.1 assists per game have been just as impactful as his scoring, as Cunningham has kept his teammates involved.
The Celtics enter this game in third place in the Eastern Conference, despite not having Jayson Tatum due to an Achilles injury. Jaylen Brown continues to be a force offensively and remains among the league leaders in scoring with 29.1 points per game. Derrick White and Payton Pritchard have also been central to Boston’s successes, though they will need balanced scoring and defensive focus to handle Detroit’s depth.
