Detroit enters on a five-game winning streak and will face a stern test against a Sixers team that has played well despite major injury concerns this year. The Pistons are entering this game flying high. They are off to a 7-2 start and have won five games in a row. Their offense is clicking and their defense has been tighter than many anticipated going into this season. The 76ers have logged a 6-3 record so far, but their injury list is stacking up. Key names such as Paul George (knee) and Joel Embiid (injury management) are out for this game.
The 76ers still have Tyrese Maxey available for this game, who is off to an incredible start to this season. Maxey is leading the Sixers with 33.2 points per game and he has been efficient both at the rim and from three-point range. If he can put up another big game here, the Sixers could win for the second night in a row.
This is the second night of a back-to-back for the Sixers. That means Embiid is out after he played against the Toronto Raptors last night. It could also mean tired legs for the rest of the Sixers who are playing in this game as they look to sweep their back-to-back on their home floor.

This should still be a competitive game despite all of the roster adversity going on for Philly. But the back-to-back and the absence of George and Embiid should ultimately cost the Sixers in this matchup. I'll go with the Pistons to win and cover the spread on the road here, grabbing their sixth win in a row and improving to 8-2 on the season.
