The Knicks enter this contest off a sensational 47-point outburst from Jalen Brunson in a 132‑125 victory over the Miami Heat, getting their eighth win in nine games. However, New York’s injury report is concerning going into this matchup. Brunson has been announced to sit due to load management and ankle soreness, and OG Anunoby is also out with left ankle issues. Additional role players such as Guerschon Yabusele, Miles McBride, and Landry Shamet are sidelined. That will leave the Knicks’ rotation short‑handed and less potent on both offense and defense.
Minnesota comes in with positive momentum, having rallied for a 103‑100 win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Anthony Edwards led the Wolves with 24 points and Donte DiVincenzo supplied key perimeter shooting in the comeback. Rudy Gobert has been a force on the boards, and Julius Randle continues to provide scoring and physicality. That said, Minnesota has its own injury concerns. Jaden McDaniels exited the recent Bucks game early with a hip injury and is questionable, potentially thinning the Wolves’ wing depth.
