The Thunder come in as 4.5-point favorites after building a 34-7 overall record this season, including four straight wins. Their defense remains one of the best in the league, while the offense generates elite scoring around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren. The Rockets are solid offensively, but their recent play and several injuries could complicate their performance here.
Houston snapped a three-game skid with a 119-113 win over the Chicago Bulls, led by Kevin Durant’s 28 points along with 23 from Alperen Sengun and 23 from Amen Thompson. I am anticipating another incredibly close game between the Thunder and Rockets on Thursday night. While the Thunder could very well come away with the win in the end, I think that the Rockets will cover the number as an underdog against OKC for the second time in two tries this year. Look for the absence of Isaiah Hartenstein to be impactful, as Sengun should have a big game for the Rockets in a game that comes down to the wire.
