The Orlando Magic will face the New York Knicks on Wednesday night in an important early Eastern Conference contest. New York is off to a 7‑3 start, while Orlando has posted a 5‑6 record. New York is at a rest disadvantage in this game, but they have advantages just about everywhere else as they are slight favorites on their home floor. New York has surged to a 7‑3 start thanks to a perfect 7-0 start on their home floor. The Knicks are averaging 121.8 points per game, ranking near the top of the league. They are allowing 112.7 points per game on the defensive end. The Knicks are on the second night of a back-to-back here and they will have to overcome that if they want to keep their unbeaten start on their home floor to continue for another night.
Orlando sits at 5‑6, scoring 115.9 points per game and allowing 115.8. The Magic have been much healthier than they were for most of last season. But that hasn't translated to wins just yet and the Magic will try to take advantage of any Knicks fatigue to get a win in this contest. Orlando's defense will be the key to this contest, as they lack size to combat Karl-Anthony Towns and will need to force him to the perimeter to avoid that hurting them significantly.
The Knicks could be without Robinson again for this game after he sat out the first leg of the back-to-back against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. Orlando is without Moritz Wagner and will only have one Wagner on the court for the time being.

The back-to-back isn't an ideal situation for the Knicks. But they have been so good at home that I'm willing to overlook it. I'll lay the points with the Knicks here as they should improve to 8-0 at home while moving closer to the top spot in the Eastern Conference standings at the expense of an Orlando team that just hasn't made the leap they were expected to early in the season.
