The Orlando Magic head to Washington D.C. on Tuesday to take on the struggling Washington Wizards. Orlando enters with a winning record and significantly superior offensive efficiency, while the Wizards have lost more than two-thirds of their games and give up points in bunches. With key contributors missing for both clubs due to injury, we could be in for an unpredictable night of basketball. Here, I break it all down and make my Magic vs Wizards prediction.

The Magic have been dealing with injuries to both Franz Wagner (out with an ankle issue) and Moritz Wagner (out with a knee injury). Standout guard Jalen Suggs is day-to-day with a right knee MCL contusion, leaving Orlando somewhat shorthanded at this point. Orlando still has a 20-16 record and recently posted a strong offensive outing in a win over Indiana, led by Desmond Bane and Paolo Banchero’s scoring. Anthony Black has also been impactful of late, elevating his production to help fill the void left by the Wagners.
Washington enters this game at 9-25 and recently fell to Minnesota, with CJ McCollum leading the scoring for the Wizards in that loss. Washington’s injury report includes Corey Kispert, Cam Whitmore, and Kyshawn George on the sidelines, putting strain on a roster that already struggles to defend consistently.
Despite the massive gap in records for these Southeast Division teams, they have been playing a similar level of basketball in recent games. Both teams are 5-5 in their last 10 outings, a nice reminder that the more talented team doesn't always win in basketball.

Orlando should be able to win this game on the road against a Wizards team that is just 5-12 at home for the season. But I'm not convinced that it will be a completely straightforward win for Washington either. I'm going to take the points with the Wizards here, as Orlando has several key players injured and that will prevent them from pulling away completely.
