New Orleans Saints vs Chicago Bears Prediction - 10/19/2025

The New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears will meet in Week 7 of the NFL season on Sunday. New Orleans enters this week at 1-5 and still in search of their first road win of the 2025 season. They take on a Bears team that has won three games in a row and will try to extend their winning streak despite a short prep week. Before the action begins from Soldier Field, you can find my Saints vs Bears prediction below.
Spread | Chicago –5.5 |
Moneyline | Saints +200 / Bears –240 |
Total (Over/Under) | 47.5 |
The Saints are attempting to ignite an offense that has struggled mightily this year. New Orleans is in the bottom five in the NFL in scoring offense and their defense is in the bottom 10 in the league as well. Their defense is certainly not being helped by the fact that the Saints have struggled to keep possession of the ball sustainably. Spencer Rattler and the New Orleans offense will try to fix that in this game.
On the Bears’ side, the defense is trending upward during their three-game winning streak. Chicago has held three straight opponents to 24 points or less after they gave up 51 points to the Detroit Lions on September 14. Chicago’s offense is performing well lately, helping them steal a road game against the Washington Commanders in their last game.
Rattler has been respectable for the Saints. In Week 6 against New England, he completed 20 of 26 passes for 227 yards with no turnovers. Chris Olave hauled in 98 receiving yards from Rattler in that game. Rattler has thrown just one interception on the season but he is only averaging one touchdown pass per week and needs to be more effective in passing situations.
Williams has thrown nine touchdowns and two interceptions this season. His mobility and improving pocket presence give Chicago an extra dimension on offense. Williams has been especially effective when targeting wide receiver Rome Odunze, who has five touchdown receptions through Chicago's first five games.
Score Projection: Saints 20 – Bears 30
Win Probability: Saints 35%, Bears 65%
Chicago enters this game with all the momentum. They have an improving offense, a defense that forces turnovers, and the benefit of home-field advantage. The Saints will fight, and could hang around if Rattler avoids turning the ball over, but I expect the Bears to control this game for the most part. I recommend laying the points with the Bears at home.
