Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots Super Bowl LX Over/Under Odds & Best Bet

The Super Bowl LX matchup is set, as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will battle it out for the Lombardi Trophy at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. The over/under has been set for this legacy-defining matchup between two quarterbacks looking for their first championships. Here, I break down both offenses and defenses and give you my Seahawks vs Patriots over/under prediction before Super Bowl Sunday.
Pick: Under 46.5
Confidence: 2/5

The Seattle Seahawks have an offense that can beat you in multiple ways. They rushed for 175 yards in their Divisional playoff win over the San Francisco 49ers and passed for 346 yards in their NFC Championship Game victory over the Los Angeles Rams. While Sam Darnold doesn't have a reputation for delivering in big games, he has four touchdown passes and no interceptions in two playoff games this postseason, as the Seahawks have averaged 36 points per game in the playoffs thus far.
The Patriots haven't been overly impressive on offense during this postseason. But they have done enough to win despite being held to 18 points per game in the playoffs. The weather will be a lot better in this game than it was during the AFC Championship Game, where the Pats' offense was crippled by a snowstorm. But the Patriots still have plenty to prove on offense in the biggest game in the young career of Drake Maye.
Seattle's defense ranked first in the NFL in points allowed during the regular season, and they held the Niners to just six points in their first game of the playoffs. The Seahawks gave up 27 points on conference championship weekend, but Seattle's defense has been one of the best in football all year long despite that performance against the Rams' potent passing attack.
New England's defense has been incredible during the postseason. They have allowed a total of 26 points in three playoff games, holding two of their three playoff opponents to single-digits on the scoreboard. Mike Vrabel's team has not given up 250 yards of offense to an opponent in their three playoff games so far. And while New England will have its hands full with a Super Bowl-caliber offense in this game, the Patriots have proven they can slow down anyone they are up against.
Score Projection: Seahawks 24, Patriots 21
I think we are in for a game that is incredibly close to the posted total here. I lean ever so slightly toward the under, as we could see both starting quarterbacks struggle with the nerves of this moment. I don't think the total is the best bet for this contest by any stretch of the imagination, but if you have to play the total, go with the under.
