The Tennessee Titans travel to Levi’s Stadium to take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15 of the NFL season. With the 49ers on a three-game winning streak, they enter this game as clear favorites against a Titans squad that has struggled mightily throughout the season. Can the Titans pull off a huge upset to get a second win in a row? Here, I make my Titans vs 49ers prediction for Sunday afternoon.

San Francisco enters this contest with a strong 9-4 record and seeks to build on their current winning streak after a Week 14 bye. They have won three in a row and appear to be rounding into a consistent form, especially after a convincing win against Cleveland before the break. The 49ers’ balanced offense and improving quarterback play make them a tough team to beat on their home turf and they will try to take advantage of playing another lower-tier opponent in this game.
Tennessee has just two wins on the season and recently snapped a long losing streak with a victory on the road over Cleveland. Tony Pollard was the star of that game for the Titans, rushing for 161 yards and two touchdowns. But the Titans’ overall performance metrics remain near the bottom of the league. Their offense struggles to sustain drives, and that inefficiency will make it difficult to keep pace with San Francisco if the 49ers execute their game plan.
Brock Purdy has five touchdowns and three interceptions since returning from injury. All three of his interceptions during that span came in a 20-9 win over the Carolina Panthers and he has played interception-free football outside of that game over his last three outings. Given the Titans’ secondary challenges, Purdy’s approach should translate into consistent yardage and scoring opportunities.
Tennessee’s Cam Ward is getting important reps in his rookie year, but has yet to produce consistent success through the air. His passing numbers this season have been modest at best, and the Titans’ offensive line has shown vulnerability, creating pressure situations that Purdy is unlikely to face as often for the 49ers.

I'm going to lay the points with the San Francisco 49ers at home against the Tennessee Titans. There are a lot of points to lay with the favorite in this game, but I feel that doing so is justified as the Niners come in with a rest advantage and with a defense that should be able to force Cam Ward into some rookie mistakes.
