Boston is favored at home but clearly vulnerable as they ride a long losing streak into this inter-conference matchup on the ice. The Bruins are stumbling into this game after dropping five of their first eight games. Boston started the season with three straight wins but has lost five in a row since then. They were beaten 4-3 by the Florida Panthers in their most recent outing. The Ducks have begun the season with a 3-2-1 record and come in off a 5-2 road win over the Nashville Predators.
Neither team has been great in goal to start this season. Boston starter Jeremy Swayman is 2-3 on the season and has a 3.02 GAA. Anaheim's Lukas Dostal is 2-2-1 and has a 2.82 GAA. Both netminders are outside of the top 30 in the NHL in GAA going into this game. The goalie that figures out a way to get back on track in this contest will give their team a significant advantage.
The key performer for the Bruins remains David Pastrňák. He has four goals and six assists so far and has been his team's offensive engine. Leo Carlsson and Cutter Gauthier have made noise offensively for the Ducks. Carlsson leads the team with seven points, including three goals, while Gauthier has a team-high four goals on the season.

The Bruins are playing some dreadful hockey of late. But I expect them to do just enough to win this game on home ice. Boston's losing streak has mainly come on the road and being back at home should do them some good. It won't be easy, but I'll take the Bruins to win on the moneyline in what should be a close game at TD Garden.
