Carolina Hurricanes vs Vegas Golden Knights Prediction - 10/20/2025

The Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights will meet at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Monday night. This is the game of the night in the NHL, as the undefeated Hurricanes take on a Golden Knights team that has earned at least a point in each of their games. Before the action begins in this huge game from Vegas, continue reading to get my Hurricanes vs Golden Knights prediction.
Moneyline | Puck Line | Total (O/U) |
|---|---|---|
Vegas -110 | Carolina -110 | Carolina +1.5 (-275) | Vegas -1.5 (+200) | 6.5 goals |
Carolina has been flawless to start the season. They have a 5-0-0 record, including a 4-3 overtime win over the Los Angeles Kings on October 19 where they built an early 3-0 lead and held on despite a late rally from LA. Their offense has averaged 4.60 goals per game and they will try to keep rolling on offense here.
Vegas comes in at 4-0-2 and has a three-game win streak. They dominated the Calgary Flames 6-1 on October 18 and they have scored six goals in each of their last two games. Vegas has allowed more goals than Carolina, but both of these teams are playing some excellent hockey thus far.
Frederik Andersen is off to an undefeated start for the Hurricanes. He has a strong 2.27 GAA and will face plenty of challenges from the potent offense of the Knights. Akira Schmid is also undefeated to start the season for Vegas. He has stepped in admirably for the injured Adin Hill and will look for his most impressive win of the season to date in this game.
Vegas forward Jack Eichel leads the NHL in points with 15 already and teammate Mark Stone is close behind with 13. Carolina forward Seth Jarvis has been red hot, recording six goals in five games and on a five-game point streak. Captain Jordan Staal notched his 300th career goal in the Kings game and continues to make things happen for the Canes as well.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Jack Eichel (VGK) | Over 1.5 points |
Seth Jarvis (CAR) | Over 0.5 goals |
Mark Stone (VGK) | Over 0.5 assists |
Score Projection: Carolina 4 – Vegas 5
Win Probability: Carolina 47% , Vegas 53%
My projections make this a very close game between the Hurricanes and Golden Knights. But instead of taking a chance betting on either side, my best bet for this game is for the game to go over the total of 6.5 goals. Look for both of these offenses to continue firing on all cylinders and for the winner to do so with four or five goals scored.
