Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames Prediction - 10/20/2025

The Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames will meet in a Western Conference matchup in the NHL on Monday night. These teams have had completely different starts to their seasons, with the Jets off to a great start and the Flames struggling out of the gate. Can the Flames find a way to pull off an upset on home ice? For a full breakdown, including my Jets vs Flames prediction, continue reading below.
Odds | Moneyline | Puckline | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
Winnipeg Jets | -150 | Jets -1.5 (+165) | Over 5.5 |
Calgary Flames | +130 | Flames +1.5 (–200) | Under 5.5 |
The Jets have surged out to a 4-1-0 start this season, propelled by a potent offensive output and strong defensive metrics. They most recently recorded a 4-1 victory over the Nashville Predators for their fourth win in a row. Calgary is slumping at 1-5-0 and they have failed to generate consistent offense. Their most recent loss was 6-1 on the road to the Vegas Golden Knights. Calgary is averaging just 1.67 goals per game to begin the season and they will need to be better to win here.
Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck enters this game with a .915 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against average. He has been reliable between the pipes early in this campaign as expected. Calgary’s goaltending has been a major concern. They’ve allowed 4.17 goals per game through their start and starting netminder Dustin Wolf barely ranks inside of the top 50 among NHL goalies in save percentage.
The Jets are led offensively by Mark Scheifele. He already has nine points (6 goals, 3 assists) in the opening five games. Kyle Connor has provided steady support with five assists and a +5 +/- rating. Their power play is converting at 33.3%, while their penalty kill has been successful 95.5% of the time. Calgary's Nazem Kadri leads the team with four points. All of those points have come via assists and the lack of consistent scoring from the Flames isn't expected to change here.
Player | Prop |
|---|---|
Mark Scheifele (Jets) | Over 0.5 goals |
Kyle Connor (Jets) | Over 0.5 assists |
Matt Coronato (Flames) | Over 0.5 goals |
Score Projection: Jets 4 – Flames 2
Win Probability: Jets 63%, Flames 37%
The Jets have a clear advantage going into this game. They are one of the best defensive teams in the NHL and they should be able to shut down the Flames in this game. I'll take the Jets to win on the moneyline, though I don't mind the idea of laying the puckline either.
